Holds overall responsibility for management, represents the company and chairs the Board of Directors.

Responsible for production, procurement and quality, and for delivery of the medium-term plan.

Covers corporate strategy and overseas operations, and supervises execution as a member of the Board.

Leads research and development across production, procurement and quality. Heads the innovation team that creates new products, improves existing ones and makes the manufacturing processes better.

Audits the conduct of directors and works with the accounting auditor and the internal audit office.

Runs the domestic production sites, with responsibility for the Yao and Sagamihara plants.

Leads research, development and regulatory affairs, including submissions and standards conformity.

Owns the quality management system under ISO 13485 and holds final authority on release for shipment.

Handles materials procurement and supplier management, including supplier audits and second-source evaluation.

Directs sales strategy and product promotion at home and abroad, including congress exhibits and distributor support.

Plans graduate and mid-career recruitment, and designs the training and development programme.
